The Huguenot Coal Project covers a total area of 7,592 ha and consists of one contiguous block of 13 coal licenses and two coal license applications that encompass previously explored deposits. The property is located approximately 140 road-km from the Quintette load-out and is amenable to open pit mining. Further divided into North, Middle, and South blocks, Table A, below describes the quantity of resources.
With a total of 397 mt and a proposed production of between 3.5 and 5 million tone’s per annum Hugenot is one of the most substantial coal resources in the region. The coal quality is very high, and is reflective of a premium, hard metallurgical product.
